Audience

Your audience is the specific person or group of people you are writing for. Great storytellers don't write for 'everyone' — they write for a concrete, imagined reader whose fears, goals, and vocabulary they understand deeply.

Example

If your audience is an early-career data scientist on LinkedIn, you don't open with 'For all professionals in the quantitative analytics space…' — you open with 'Two years into my data science career, I had no idea what I was doing. Sound familiar?' That specificity makes the right person feel seen.
