Denouement
The denouement (from the French for 'unknotting') is the final resolution of a story — the state the world and characters are left in after the climax and falling action. It answers the question: what has changed, and what does it mean? A strong denouement offers closure without tying everything in a bow.
Example
Ending a post about burning out and recovering with: 'I still work long hours sometimes. But now I choose them. That's the whole difference.' That's a denouement — it doesn't pretend the problem is fully solved, but it lands in a place of meaningful change. Readers feel the story is complete.
